“A vivid lead character and a crazy-brilliant core premise make this more than just another action-wracked high concept thriller. But it’s ALL THAT too!” (Chuck Dixon, writer of Batman, Bad Times series)
A Word from the Author
Watching TV in the dead of night, Demorn and The Asanti Series sprung into David’s mind, virtually unbidden and kicking ass. Punisher comics, Conan the Barbarian tales and Julian May’s classic time travel adventure series “Saga of the Exiles” all exercise a powerful grip on David’s imagination and exert an influence on Demorn and the Asanti Series. With three books out currently in the Asanti Series, work is underway on SHRINE: A Demorn origins tale!
Earthrise – Stranded on the Moon: Astronaut Rescue Mission is a hard sci-fi/thriller by Gabriel Namara.
When Commander Steemson and his crew are forced to make an emergency landing on the Moon, veteran astronaut, Jim Borman, is called out of retirement for this last mission — to fly the only rocket on Earth capable of immediate launch.
Obsessed billionaire, Bill Leeb, has built a Saturn V replica and is willing to put it at NASA’s disposal for the rescue. But on one condition — a condition that places Jim Borman in a moral dilemma and will force a terrible choice on the spaceship’s crew. As preparations go ahead for the rescue, the stranded astronauts make earth-shattering discoveries on the Moon.

A Word from the Author
I wanted to write the book because I wanted to read it, but did not find it anywhere else.
What inspired me was a book by astronaut Mike Mullane, “Riding Rockets” and as a fan of the space program eversince, I knew that there was an old school astronaut adventure yet to be written. Some will remember the Moon Rocket of the 1960’s. Well, I thought that in modern times, old technology might be the only option for a rescue mission, after the new Orion mission crashed on the Moon. What is interesting is that I thought I should give Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin a cameo apprearance as fictional characters – because Apollo 11 might have something in store which my contemporary astronauts needed to escape from the surface of the Moon. There is a flashback that could shed a light on what really happened back in 1969. Politics are everywhere, you know…
Alicia is the first book of the Ascendant Untempered superhero/sci-fi series by D. J. Baldock.
Alicia McTravers, a young and violent pyrokinetic, is carving a bloody path of revenge through the city. By chance, she meets Violet, her opposite, employed as a ‘superhero’ by the government. Attempting to overcome their animosity, they start to suspect that seemingly random events are anything but. Alicia has forgotten something important; knowledge that may well prevent the apocalypse. Something evil is waking up, and time is running out.
*NOTE: This is PROSE not a GRAPHIC NOVEL!*
A Word from the Author
With ‘Alicia’, my first novel, I hoped to write superhero fiction that featured strong female main characters, complex relationships and just the right amount of apocalyptic superpowers. As part of a larger shared universe (with a third book on the way) I hope to bring superhero prose to readers who may not have considered it before, and to provide a fresh take in a world where there are a lot of superhero stories, both on screen and in print. I was inspired by my love for comics, the cosmic insanity of H.P. Lovecraft and my fantastically geeky children, and I hope you enjoy the stories!
