Know More

Sam Cane – ex-con artist (sort of), ex-soldier (definitely), and woman on the run.

In too deep with the wrong people, she’s bailed out of the nearest exit and gone corporate. Leaving a life of petty crime on Earth she’s heading for the furthest flung of humanity’s scattered worlds, looking for a place to hide. But sometimes, what you’re running from isn’t the thing that will kill you.

Out on the fringe, Sam finds that things can get a little strange, and a lot dangerous…

A Word from the Author

Author T. Q. Chant pictureIn many ways, this series is exactly as it appears – tense, fast-paced, hard-hitting science fiction stories that follow Sam Cane, a woman with a shady past trying to go straight, but getting caught up with dangerous events on the fringes of human settlement.

Through these novellas, though, I wanted to look at how much better we could be if we could do away with so many dangerous, negative things that still plague us. Things like everyday sexism, racism, homophobia, general intolerance and religious fundamentalism. Rather than the easy option of exploring these themes through dystopia, I chose to write about a world in which they have become a thing of the past. Not a perfect world, but I think a better one. One that’s being challenged by throwbacks to humanity’s darker past. The series started life as something a bit more military-SF, with a fairly typical square jawed hero. I found the setting really popped and the character came to life when I re-wrote it as a woman on the run from her own past. Not a hero, but not a villain either – someone in between who just wants to be left alone to get on with her life.

Hard Setdown finds Sam Cane landed on a bleak, hot planet and abandoned to her fate when it becomes apparent that the colonists she was supposed to join have disappeared. Follow her struggle to survive, find out what happened to the colonists, and try to get herself off the planet before it kills her.

Know More

Imagine a world where people no longer choose their friends.

Two school friends, different in every respect, drift apart in search of themselves. One flits from dodgy deal to get-rich-quick scheme while the other fights for freedom and justice.

The psychosocial media app, frenzship, takes the world by storm, revolutionising the very meaning of friendship and propelling the old friends onto a collision course.

Is frenzship the reinvention of true friendship and meaningful relationships for the information age or a dangerous cult bending the minds of the young and impressionable?

The friends’ schoolboy pact is invoked. Will their friendship transcend the conflict? Does a mate come running no matter what?

Frenzship is another thought-provoking novel by Ray Glickman, WA Premier’s Award shortlisted author of Reality

A Word from the Author

author Ray Glickman pictureToday we are all seemingly governed by our social media accounts. Researchers have recognised that the buzz we receive from likes and followers is akin to a drug rush. But what if it was taken even further?

frenzship heralds a new era of meaningful online relationships and is the next-generation of Facebook, a new form of ‘psychosocial’ media that reinvents the concept of friendship in the Information Age. But as with all new technology and interfaces, it is blamed for the deviant behaviour of some devotees.

frenzship is a punchy, provocative read. A psychological thriller that will make you question all you know about social media and how much you feed into it. In frenzship you’re encouraged to explore the mysterious, enduring nature of what makes true, real, physical connections and examines how this concept is evolving in times of disruptive technological change.

“A vivid lead character and a crazy-brilliant core premise make this more than just another action-wracked high concept thriller. But it’s ALL THAT too!” (Chuck Dixon, writer of Batman, Bad Times series)

A Word from the Author

Author David Finn picture

Watching TV in the dead of night, Demorn and The Asanti Series sprung into David’s mind, virtually unbidden and kicking ass. Punisher comics, Conan the Barbarian tales and Julian May’s classic time travel adventure series “Saga of the Exiles” all exercise a powerful grip on David’s imagination and exert an influence on Demorn and the Asanti Series. With three books out currently in the Asanti Series, work is underway on SHRINE: A Demorn origins tale!
