R.A.Salvatore's Dark Elf Saga (of which this collection reprints book 7-10) is a dark, thoughtful, high-fantasy tale with more twists and turns than a cranky dwarf's beard. In this installment, Drizzt Do'Urden is faced with challenges that test the very core of his being. Forbidden love, sudden death, moral dilemmas, and a return to the evil drow city of Menzoberranzan. Any fans of Drizzt will love this collection, but newcomers to the saga will be quite lost, and would be better suited to start with "The Crystal Shard" (Book one in the "Icewind Dale" Trilogy) or "Homeland" (Book one in the "Dark Elf" Trilogy).
This book belongs to a huge series, (currently seventeen books long), but it is probably my favorite group. Salvatore is famous for his action and this tetralogy does not disappoint in that category. The writing grabs you by the collar and drags you through the four books and leaves you gasping for breath at the last word. I recommend the book to any reader, but it's a definite must-buy for the avid fantasy fan!
R.A. SALVATORE IS MY FAVROITE AUTHORE OF ALL TIMES. HIS WRITING STYLE MAKES IT VERY EASY FOR ME TO PICTURE IN MY MIND WHAT HE IS WRITING ON THE PAGE.
