“I was hooked from page one! Carter has mastered the art of pulling you into a story wholly, making you feel like the inflicted.” -Lynn
When a young college student signs up for a weekend of volunteer research in the Smoky Mountain region of North Carolina, she soon discovers that the cabin she has been sent to is uninhabitable. When a stranger shows up, claiming to be a fellow student volunteer, Catherine hesitates to trust him. Could he be the one who lured her miles away from civilization? Together they must decide how to survive one night in the dark confines of the abandoned cabin.
A Word from the Author
Nobody’s Home is a chilling cautionary tale with an unexpected twist of fate in the end. We live in a world where we rely heavily upon our electronic devices. So many people chose to communicate through email instead of a genuine face to face conversation or even a phone call. In this short story, Catherine soon realizes that the consequences of trusting an email could cost her her life.
