Everyone wants to live forever. A new body, perfectly grown, to replace a failing one. Eric is on the verge of making this dream a reality. When the missing piece to the puzzle is offered to him under less than legal circumstances, he doesn’t think twice before accepting it. After all, they are working towards the greater good. He soon realizes, however, that those in charge have other plans, and they aren’t above using him to get what they want.
A Word from the Author
I have always loved science fiction novels that make me feel like I have stepped into an alternate universe. Many of the headlines we read today, if slightly twisted, could be turned into one of these novels. It is almost as if these alternate universes are merging. Writing is a way for me to see where we could end up, what the future may hold. It is an exciting, often terrifying, prospect. Transference is one such novel. We are so close to many of the advances in the book—cloning, genetic engineering to rid people of many diseases, growing organs for transplant. I love writing on that cusp, that edge between reality and fiction.
