Tiger Loses His Stripes is a children’s book by Francois Keyser
Know More
In “Tiger Loses His Stripes” we are introduced to the characters of “The Junglies” series.
In this first book, Aga the tiger, loses his stripes…… Or does he? Aga’s friends all help him to look for his stripes. Read the story and find out what really happened to Aga’s stripes and if he will get them back…
This story has many lessons for children to take to heart which are all interlinked namely:
– Sometimes we make mistakes even when we do not mean to.
– When we make mistakes we should accept them and admit them.
– The consequences of admitting our mistakes are never as bad as we fear they will be.
– It’s best for everyone when we are honest.
A Word from the Author
Since I can remember I wanted to be an author. As a child I would write on and off and somehow my passion to write always peaked during exam time. I guess it was just my passion shining through telling me what I really should do in life. Even so, it took 23 years after leaving school to finally pursue my dream of being an author.
I always wanted to write fantasy novels and never imagined that children’s books would be the first books I would write. “Tiger Loses His Stripes” was my first book and the first in “The Junglies” series. It was inspired by our eldest daughter and her Nici brand soft toy tiger called “Aga”. Other characters in the series were also inspired by her and the way she pronounced animals names when she was much younger. Abbit the rabbit, and Raff the giraffe were inspired by this while Elle was her favorite soft toy before Aga. Elle was replaced by Aga after we lost the original Elle in a taxi in Dubai.
I wrote “Tiger Loses His Stripes” and subsequent books in “The Junglies” series with a lesson for young children to learn. I am grateful that I have had the opportunity to pursue my lifelong passion and I hope that my books will be an inspiration to others.
