About writing the book:
For all of her life, Angela Kay has dreamed of creating new worlds and new characters. While she enjoys reading and writing other genres, suspense stories are her favorite to write. “The Murder of Manny Grimes” was born as part of her Creative Writing assignment in the last semester of college. But she didn’t stop at the two chapters required for the course. Over the next seven years, she has written and rewritten until the story was finally polished and ready. During those seven years, her mother kept saying that she was “beating a dead horse” because she couldn’t stop the rewriting. There were many times that she wanted to give up on writing as a whole, but the Lord wouldn’t allow her. For that, she will always be thankful because her dream of being published has now come true. Through a friend of a friend, she managed to find help in editing “Manny Grimes,” then through another friend, she found how to go about publishing. On top of publishing her debut, she has the first draft of her second novel completed and the first draft of a sequel to “Manny Grimes” is in progress. All Angela knows is to write…the rest is a learning process. It’s both fun and exhilarating for her.
