Lancelot and Guinevere is a sequel to Lancelot: Her Story. Lancelot is a woman in disguise, and Queen Guinevere’s lover. In the first book, Lancelot’s friend Gawaine discovers that she is a woman but keeps her secret.
In Lancelot and Guinevere, Guinevere’s friendship with her husband, King Arthur, deteriorates. Lancelot and Gawaine go on a mission to the Saxons and face more dangers than expected. There are tensions between Lancelot and Guinevere, and Lancelot’s PTSD becomes far stronger than it had been.
Galahad comes to Camelot and faces challenges. Mordred, Arthur’s unknown illegitimate son who had been raised by panderers, comes to Camelot to claim his place.
Merlin ages and finds his destiny.
Indeed, all the characters face their destinies. Each has to decide where his or her loyalty lies.
