Charlie Denton is stranded in the small town of Return. He was not aware of the town’s existence before his arrival. When Charlie gets to town, he is welcomed by Laura, a local resident who helps him out in his predicament. After a short time into his stay, he discovers a very strange and personal connection to the town which will lead him to a revelation that could cost him his life.

A Word from the Author

I came up with the idea for Return when I was working as a traveling auditor for an advertising company in New York State. I went to so many different towns and noticed so many aesthetically pleasing locations, both man-made and natural, that radiated a unique quality rich with history and character. Since I’ve had much experience traveling throughout the state and it was my home state, I felt that an amalgamation of those environments was the perfect backdrop for the story of Charlie Denton getting stranded in an unfamiliar place. Instead of putting our protagonist in a big city, I put him in a smaller locale to make the events more intimate. Painting a picture of the countryside, as there is a lot of it in Upstate and Western New York, was the most effective way to give the reader a different type of experience when they hear the name New York. Return is a mysterious and suspenseful story of personal revelations with aspects of drama, romance, humor, and adventure.
