A Word from the Author
The inspiration behind Lilith’s Puppet was The Exorcist, and IT. The first time I saw The Exorcist I was thirteen and was equally in love with it and scared, just the mention of the film to anyone brings back haunting images of that horrific face. I wanted to create my own tale of demonic possession as it’s a subject I love. With the demon coming back to terrorise the characters when they’re adults we come to my other inspiration, IT. The idea of following the characters as children and adults appealed to me as we get to see how their relationships have changed plus, it meant I could let the demon do more things I couldn’t get away with during their younger years. I’ve always had a fascination for demons and the occult so, for me creating this book was lots of fun. My research took me to some strange places which I shall return to as the series continues.
