A Word from the Author
Angels of Vengeance is based, in part, on my screenplay “the Furies” and takes us about halfway through the screenplay’s plot.
The Furies celebrates the divine feminine in the guise of three strong women, goddesses, who kick ass and cross names off the list.
This is a saga never before told: A reworking of the ancient mythological characters, who now take their place in the “super-hero” line-up of history. They predate Wonder Woman and other strong women of fiction.
In Angels of Vengeance we introduce the world of the Furies.
Woven between episodes that chronicle the Furies’ acts of revenge, we have the story of a small city cop, Dan Lanahan, who is tracking a serial killer, who has just left his niece tied to a tree, her face and torso have mysterious symbols carved into her flesh.
Dan and his partner, Darryl Jones, are now on the trail of a serial killer who’s struck in at least two other small cities across the Southwest.
Dan is visited by an older woman, who is the birth mother of the Furies, Gaia. She informs Dan that the killer is possessed by a demon who had escaped the Underworld area known as Tartarus.
She makes contact only because earlier, Dan had accidently encountered one of the Furies, Megaera. So, Gaia tries to bring Dan up to speed on who the Furies are. Except for one thing, Dan is an atheist and rejects the notion of gods existing, especially ancient ones from Greece.
To make matters worse, Megaera has taken a fancy to Dan, so they start a relationship.
Then the demon escapes his mortal host and shows up to avenge his banishment at the hands of the Furies. His Goal, thrust the world into Armageddon. Standing between him and his goal are the Furies and Dan.
