A Word from the Author

“I of the Patriarch” is my debut novel, a serious writing project I began back in September 2012 that quickly grew into an ambitious five book series.

The initial idea was to develop a new kind of edgy superhero-style character, one that had absolutely no idea who or what they really were, nor what their ultimate purpose was. But it didn’t stop there. As the story came together and grew exponentially, an entire new mythology was created that took things to a whole new level, and suddenly, the overall scope of this thing was off the scale.

Instead of the usual explosions-and-violent-confrontations fare that one comes to expect with the sci-fi fantasy genre, The Patriarch Saga serves first and foremost as a mind-blowing journey of discovery, not just for the readers, but for all the characters involved. There are many startling questions raised along the way, and the answers are slowly unveiled during one incredible adventure after another until everything is finally revealed in the spectacular ‘all-in’ finale.

Ironically, in this series there ended up being plenty of explosions and violent confrontations after all. But this has a profound underlying purpose and helps drive the story along to reach a stunning conclusion that readers will be thinking about for weeks on end.
