Know More
How can a high school girl deal with a megalomaniac? What would you do if Richard III manipulated your thoughts and took you places you didn’t want to go? Would that be any easier to take if you had a chance to meet Romeo and Juliet and Mercutio?
Beth has magical powers, but will she learn how to use them in time? The immortal wizard Merlin transports high school actor Beth Owens to Shakespeare’s London and the world of Shakespeare’s characters in search of a missing play about King Arthur. A Word from the Author
Beth Owens loves to act in high school plays, especially Shakespearean plays. But when she’s acting, she discovers that she has magical powers.
The immortal wizard Merlin believes that Shakespeare wrote a play about King Arthur but the play is missing. Merlin has been sending teenagers to Shakespeare’s London and the worlds of Shakespeare’s characters to find the play. None have succeeded, but Merlin believes that Beth can.
Beth visits Shakespeare’s London and meets Shakespeare. When she travels to the worlds of his characters, Mercutio is her guide and Richard III is her nemesis. Richard wants the play for his own reasons, and ties to coerce her to help him.
Beth’s friends, Sita Desai and Arnie Silver, also get caught up in Shakespeare’s world. All three of them face dangers. Richard threatens Beth’s friends lives and her sanity. She has to defeat Richard to save Shakespeare’s plays from mutilation.
