Although I had not planned to write a sequel, somehow the story of Lord Blackwood and Patience Cherwell continued in my head. Given that Lord Blackwood’s fiancée had apparently died under very mysterious circumstances while on an art tour in Italy, the seeds of a scandal were planted. Soon they began to sprout. Letitia DeVere has returned, ostensibly from the dead, but will she be able to re-establish herself in London society? Will her less than spotless past come back to haunt her?
