This is the fifth book in the series and covers the mysteries that have been left unanswered in the previous four books.
Sansara is a novice sorceress who has been instructed by the Fates to follow her destiny and embark on a gruelling adventure. Her father is dying, and she is the only one who can save him, but she still has much to learn. Sent away to a remote and dangerous island, she begins to make friends with the unlikeliest of creatures, and when the enigmatic Raoul is shipwrecked on her island, it looks like she is about to abandon her destiny. But the Fates are watching closely, for the future of Durundal is in her hands. So will she stick to the intended path and save her father, or will she be lured way with Raoul?
