My taste for murder mysteries started at a young age, and it is the one genre I come back to again and again. In 1999. though still tethered by a job in radio, I started my first book. More apocalyptic than mystery, Black Phoenix was a dark book about the nuclear devastation of the United States. The book did not quite satisfy my taste for who dun it though. So, I began a series called the Winston Strom Murder Mysteries. Nick Winston and Pat Strom are two Seattle homicide detectives who work the dark underbelly of Seattle crime. He’s straight; she’s gay and in the first book of the series, the two fall in love with the same woman.
Within the last year, I have been privileged to be associated with a group of talented writers from around the country and Canada. We call ourselves the Underground Authors and we individually write books under the banner of Magnolia Bluff Crime Chronicles. We had a successful first year and are now entering our second year. My first book Justice published in November of 2022. I am working on my new novel (yet to be named) that will publish in November of 2023.
