Davis McCoy, a veteran, a hardened Dallas Homicide cop, who spends much of his time in the cop doghouse, works regularly with Detective Margaret “Maggs” Wilson and super badass Detective Red Harper. They are assigned to the early morning machinegun-slaughter of all employees of a downtown deli and a Dallas motorcycle cop who appeared to have dropped in for coffee with disastrous results. Investigation reveals sexual interplay which would normally require a scorecard. And was the cop’s presence as coincidental as circumstances first indicated? The conclusion proves standard cop work often fails to end as suspected.
