F.T. McKinstry grew up in her own little world, studying music, drawing, and reading every esoteric thing she could get her hands on. Early on, she developed a passion for fantasy and science fiction coupled with a strong notion that she could write. She took a long detour through a high tech career; being a natural geek, she took to that nicely, but it wasn’t her first love and she began creating fantasy worlds in her spare time. Many years later, she began to publish her work. After making every mistake possible, she found her voice and finally stepped off the wheel into self-publishing.
F.T. has published The Chronicles of Ealiron (Double Dragon Publishing); many short stories in various fantasy/science fiction magazines; Wizards, Woods and Gods and Water Dark (Wild Child Publishing); and Outpost, Book One in The Fylking. She lives in the northwoods where, aside from reading and writing, she enjoys oil painting, gardening, yoga, cats and fishes.
