Bio

J.G. MacLeod was born and raised in southwestern Ontario, Canada. She attended university in her hometown as well and finished with a degree in English and history and a Bachelor of Education. She went on to teach secondary school students, adults, and students with disabilities for over sixteen years, and spent time as a guidance counsellor as well. Writing has been a hobby of Ms. MacLeod’s since she was a young girl and she recently published two novels: Abalone, a story about fist love, abuse and healing, and Lady Ellen, the first book in a historical romance series set in 1840s Ireland. Ms. MacLeod has three young children of her own and when she isn’t writing, she is spending time with family and friends. She enjoys travelling, day trips and summer stays at the cottage. One of her most memorable vacations was a recent trip to Ireland where she stayed in B&Bs, chatted with local residents, and took hundreds of photographs of the sites and landscapes she visited. Ms. MacLeod supports a variety of charities, including being a participant of her local Terry Fox Run for thirty-five consecutive years and her local MS Walk for over fifteen years.
