Bio
Joanne Kukanza Easley, a Chicago native, calls the Texas Hill Country home. She lives on a small ranch with her husband and three rescue terriers, where she devotes her time to writing fiction about women who eventually figure it out. Her debut novel, Sweet Jane, was a 2019 Faulkner/Wisdom Creative Writing Competition Finalist. Her experience as a psychiatric nurse comes in handy when exploring her character’s flaws and motivations. Years of experience in the operating room gives her an edge as she takes a scalpel to edit her next novel, Just One Look, and performs exploratory surgery on her new project, I’ll be Seeing You, inspired by Lauren Eaton, a character in Sweet Jane.
