Ken Stark was born in Saskatchewan, but to escape the ‘skeeters and ‘hoppers of the Canadian prairies, he forced his family to move west at the age of 9. He settled outside of Vancouver, where he now complains about the weather and the traffic. He has since come to realize that everything in life is a trade-off, and he is trying to make his peace with it. He is also sarcastic to a fault, and has become quite adept at referring to himself in the third person.
