Shane D Hughes (The Patriarch Saga)

Shane D Hughes began his career working in commercial television, specializing in all aspects of video post-production, before later shifting gears to become a multi award winning studio recording engineer and advertising music producer.

He has designed, constructed and owned state-of-the-art recording studios, performed as a working musician with numerous live bands (lead guitarist and vocalist), and has written and produced his own music, including the acclaimed studio album: The Age.

Diverse forms of writing and production have always been a passion, and now today he is the proud new author of The Patriarch Saga. This immersive and thrilling new sci-fi fantasy adventure series chronicles the astonishing ‘journey of discovery’ of five unique and extraordinary individuals while they strive and endure the evolutionary demise of the wayward human race.

In the works also is the forthcoming FBI crime thriller spin-off series, The Sisters Crowe, as well as several stand-alone novels in various other genres.

A Few Words From the Author

It always fascinated me how out of more than seven billion people on this planet, only a handful of filmmakers such as James Cameron, Ridley Scott, Peter Jackson, or Star Wars creator, George Lucas, are capable of producing truly epic sci-fi fantasy content that is to this day both loved and obsessed over by voracious fans all around the world.

Even less have achieved such astronomical success and notoriety in the book publishing industry—J.K. Rowling and George R.R. Martin are amongst the few who come to mind. And so, with only the very best of naïve intention, this humble wannabe set off on his own epic journey back in September of 2012, eager to create yet another beloved blockbuster saga that may one day hold its own against the best of them. (Yes, I was somewhat ambitious…much?)

Completed a mere five weeks later, that very first draft was easily one of the biggest literary train wrecks never to be seen—of course it was. But remarkably, the story was there in spades, and it grew exponentially as if the universe itself wanted it to be told. After several more years spent learning how to actually write, after countless revisions, re-writes, obsessive all-nighters, and after consuming enough coffee, donuts, chocolate and roasted potato chips to put oneself in a coma… “I of the Patriarch” was finally ready to be unleashed.

So far, readers all over the globe are absolutely loving it. But this epic journey is only beginning, and I’d love you to come along on it with the rest of us. Give it a try.
