Novus is the first book of The Cresecren Chronicles by the Award-winning author Crystal Marcos.
Ideal for Hunger Games and Divergent fans, Crystal Marcos delivers Novus, a riveting novel set in a dystopian future of action-adventure, suspense, and romance. Intriguing characters and a gripping storyline keep the reader turning page after page.
Being a teenager is hard enough. And what if your life’s path is predetermined? On top of that, you aren’t even Human?
Cayden was given life as a Cresecren. He expected to live out his days with the dysfunctional Human family he was assigned to serve. One fateful night, however, landed him in Gavaron, the home of maimed, elderly, or defiant Cresecren.
Beyond its borders is the Den, an area much more dangerous than he ever imagined. Now seventeen, Cayden unwittingly becomes involved in a conspiracy and is one of a handful of survivors fleeing a deadly attack. They set off on a perilous journey in search of refuge and the truth. Along the way, Cayden begins to comprehend the difference between fully living and merely surviving, while trying to balance his emotions and a forbidden love.
A Word from the Author
When I woke from a vivid dream, I had no idea that dream would turn into a Young Adult novel, NOVUS (The Cresecren Chronicles, Book 1). Furthermore, it would turn into an Award-winning one! NOVUS has won two book awards in its category, “Official Selection” NEW APPLE AWARDS and “Best Books” PINNACLE BOOK ACHIEVEMENT AWARDS. I daydream creating stories in my mind, I dream at night, and the dreams that I can’t stop thinking about, I jot down. Who knows, maybe one day they will become a book too.
What was it that was so special about this particular dream? The people in it and the world they were in. I could NOT stop thinking about it. I wanted to get to know these people and where they came from. I think this is portrayed in my writing as I have seen reviews and had people compliment my world building. I wanted to bring my readers to what I saw and how I felt at that moment. I think readers will fall in love with my characters as I did when writing the story. They became my friends and I was excited to see what they were up to every time I sat down to write.
Circle of Books is very supportive of Indie authors. It is nice to have a place that welcomes you with open arms. I am thrilled to see my pages done so professionally on the site and even more excited to see my book and name making the rounds across social media. Sandro is pleasant and truly cares about what he can do to help my work get noticed.
I discovered Circle of Books through Twitter and have been pleasantly surprised at how supportive this platform is for new and independent writers. It is a great website for anyone interested in reading about a diverse range authors and genres, offering different methods of exposure for writers, across several social media platforms.
