The Witch of Appalachia Book 2

by Francesca Quarto.

Know More

Hidden away on a secluded ranch, the Wiccan sisters hold their Coven retreat, searching for peace and communion with nature among the towering Buttes of Utah.

The tranquility of their days is shattered when the girls begin to disappear like water under the sizzling desert sun. They are under attack by unknown forces and even their dreams will make them vulnerable.

The Witch of Appalachia, Cathleen O’Brien, has been called upon to rescue the missing girls; if they still live. Searching among the ancient pillars that soar like giants rising from the sandy floor, brings the young Wizard face to face with Morgayne. This half lizard Demon is known in Celtic folklore as “The Queen of Rot”.

Cathleen soon uncovers a devious scheme by one of the Coven’s own sisters. Her allegiance is now bound by blood to the Queen, whose evil has subverted her very soul.

Helping Cathleen to locate the missing girls, her mother, Brighid, uses her “This and That” Magic to protect her untested daughter from the powerful Morgayne.

Time is running out for the abducted girls. Soon, they will have only dark dreams in a never ending night.

A Word from the Author

When Cathleen O’Brien’s best friend, travels to the Valley of the Gods, in Utah a spiritual retreat with her Coven of Wiccan sisters, turns into a nightmare.

After several of the young women disappear in the night, Cathleen’s friend calls for her intervention, before she becomes the next kidnapping victim.

Cathleen is quickly embroiled in a battle for the lives and souls of the missing victims; her advisory the “Dark Queen of Rot” lives up to her name in this game of Magic. The Coven of Wiccans cannot withstand the dark suspicions that begin to permeate the small group of women as one after another they are taken to a darker place than the dessert nights. The seeds of mistrust are sown deeply and begin to sprout into vicious behavior and even more fear for the coming of sleep.

The tall red buttes of the desert, stand like monstrous fingers grasping for the truth behind the kidnappings as Cathleen begins her investigation. But can she overcome the vast powers of the Queen and her consort, as they scheme to take more of the Wiccans, to corrupt them and enslave their spirits.

Cathleen’s powers are growing and she has a secret weapon to call upon; Brighid, her beautiful and deadly mother. Together, they will bring the ancient powers of the Druids to bear, as they do battle for the lives of the missing women.
