Whispered Wishes is a steamy tale of bad choices and second chances. Widowed Nathan is living a quiet life in the countryside with his young daughter, out of the glare of publicity. Lucas is a celebrity photographer who will stop at nothing for fame. Olivia has been hurt by Lucas and when she seeks refuge in the cottage next-door to Nathan, life explodes in their faces. The men already have history and when Nathan’s daughter is lost in the snow, he blames Lucas. But without Lucas agreeing to help, he has no chance of finding her. The book was inspired by a real-life event – the scene on the train where Olivia meets Lucas again. The guy was a surf-dude, the girl looked prim, like a lawyer. They bickered for three hours but by the end, they were all over each other and clearly heading for a hotel. I was intrigued and tempted to follow them. But I reined in my stalker tendencies and wrote a novel instead.
