A Word from the Author
I was inspired to start writing what became the Nevada Noir trilogy by a road trip through Nevada, Utah and California. However it was not until I returned to the UK that I awoke one morning with my mind filled the image of the old man, and the storm, which opens the first story. Unable to hold back the images and words, I grabbed my iPhone while in the shower to begin typing the first few sentences. More followed on my commute on public transport across London. Eventually this would become The Last Storm – the first of the three stories that make up Nevada Noir. Months later the idea of a trilogy of interconnected tales, all set in the locations I visited – from national parks to Sin City Las Vegas – took seed. Story two – One Good Deed – followed. During the 2020 COVID19 pandemic I finally had the opportunity to complete the trilogy with A Slow Death.
