In Sisterhood of Evil – this second instalment of my 17th century To Snare A Witch adventures – I explore this theme more deeply, setting out the chilling toll that dabbling in the occult takes on series heroine Elizabeth Fiennes, a young woman desperately trying to escape her unwanted magical destiny.
Having cast a powerful enchantment to save her wrongly accused husband from the gallows, she soon learns that the supernatural action sparked more heart-breaking consequences than she could ever have imagined. No matter how pure her motives, she has become trapped in a web of deception – risking damnation for herself, and those she loves.
Only one solution seems possible – but it risks sending herself deeper into magic’s malevolent grip. Dare she take the chance?
