Bio
Hi, I’m Sam Russell. Before March 2020, I was a working stand-up comic. I’ve never been on television and you probably haven’t heard of me, but I was happy. I worked six nights a week, made enough to pay the bills and was recognised occasionally by someone in Tesco. And then came the lockdown. It quickly became clear that I needed an outlet and so I started writing a novel. During this time I also found work producing podcasts. When the book was finished, I decided to put these two new-found loves together. I am releasing the book in audio form, read by professional actress of stage and screen, Catherine Russell – or as I know her, ‘Mum’.
