Bio
My name is Patrick Carpenter and I am from Sanford, Maine. I am a proud husband and a father of one daughter. I have traveled all over the United States, but I am a New Englander at heart. Perhaps, then, it is no surprise that one of my biggest inspirations as a writer has been the work of Stephan King. I am also greatly influenced by Orson Scott Kard and Suzanne Collins. I love to indulge in many genres of creative writing, but my heart belongs to science fiction. I grew up loving Star Wars and gritty anime titles like Cowboy Bebop and Blue Gender, and ever since I started writing in the fourth grade, I knew I wanted to produce a story that captured the majesty of space and future worlds.
Besides writing, I love fitness, hiking, cooking, and video games. I also love to travel and I aspire to see as many places as I can. In my twenties, I went to culinary school and spent some time in the restaurant business, then, went back to college and obtained my bachelor’s degree in leadership and business administration. I transitioned into the banking industry, where I have worked since, but my true passion is writing. I plan to keep doing creative projects for as long as I can. My hope is that my readers enjoy reading my work as much as I enjoy writing it.
