Wandering relates the adventures, and misadventures (she encounters so many major weather events that her friends start predicting where the next disaster will strike based on her next destination), of her nine months traveling through Mexico, Belize, Guatemala, Honduras, Panama, Cuba, Australia, Cambodia, and Thailand.

Wandering relates humorous tales of one woman’s first solo trip around the world after the age of 40. Battling social anxiety, no sense of direction, and extreme weather — hurricanes, erupting volcanoes, wildfire, and more — Melissa makes her way through Mexico, Belize, Guatemala, Honduras, Panama, Cuba, Australia and Tasmania, Cambodia and Thailand in an epic nine-month journey.
Began as a blog to let her mother know she hadn’t gotten lost in a remote third-world jungle, Wandering is a daily account of meeting locals and learning about new cultures, adventure trips and scuba diving, and making friends while making the most out of life. If Melissa can make it around the world, anyone can!
