Bio
Melissa Burovac is a writer and ocean photographer living on the Big Island of Hawaii. When she doesn’t have her head underwater or in a book, you can find her walking the beach with her dog Lucy.
Melissa’s writing career unintentionally began after a nine-month solo trip around the world. She wrote a daily blog and was pleasantly surprised when she found out how many people were following her adventure (and laughing at her misadventures). Upon her return, many women expressed their amazement that a woman could travel where she did, especially solo, and urged her to write a book. That book became “Wandering,” the first of four self-published books.
Melissa is currently working on the third book in the “Sylvie’s Romance” series, and another travel book of places closer to home.
