Bio
Wendy taught French, Latin, and Classical Studies in the UK for almost 20 years, but her career took a new direction when she decided to fulfil her ambition to become a children’s author. The idea for a whole series of time-travel adventures sprang fully-formed into her mind during an international flight, and she couldn’t wait to get started, using the ancient world of classical history and mythology as the backdrop for her first three books. With a passion for history, Wendy sets each of her stories in periods that have always fascinated her and she is currently working on book number 18. In the Shadows from the Past series, where adventure and education go hand-in-hand, Wendy takes her readers on a journey through the pages of history, alongside 3 young time-travellers and their talking cat, Max. Wendy loves cats, and Max is her favourite character – so much so that she occasionally allows him to have solo adventures, all by himself!
